It is hereby notified for general information that,


The use of the word Co-operative is prohibited without registration as per the Co-operative Societies Act, 2001 (Amended 2002 & 2013) and Co-operative Societies Rules, 2004 (Amended 2020).


2) No name or words other than the registered name shall be used on the sign board, bill board or pamphlet of the association.


3) No co-operative society registered or proposed for registration shall use the names Commerce, Bank, Investment, Commercial, Bank, Leasing, Financing or synonyms.


4) No co-operative society except Bangladesh Co-operative Bank, Central Co-operative Bank, Co-operative Land Development Bank and Central Co-operative Land Development Bank shall use the word bank in its name.


5) Violation of the provisions of the said Act shall be punishable with imprisonment not exceeding 7 (seven) years or fine not exceeding 10 (ten) lakhs or both.


6) No co-operative society can take loans or collect deposits with any person other than its members.


7) Share partner can not create any subscriber except member.


8) Can't conduct banking activities without the permission of Bangladesh Bank.


9) No branch office shall operate in the name of the Society without prior written approval of the Registrar.


10) Member cannot make any person outside the constituency.


11) Shall not collect deposits from general members or general persons by inducement in the name of FDR, DPS or any other name of the association.


12) If any association conducts activities in violation of the said matter, legal action and punishment will be provided against them.


13) If anyone has evidence or suspicion of conducting activities in violation of the said matter, I humbly request you to inform the District Cooperative Office, Moulvibazar.
